During the trial period, the Graduate Center will have full access to the database. The East View Essentials: Soviet and Russian Film collection includes nine resources – five journals, two newspapers, and two e-book collections – on the history of Soviet and Russian cinema, tracing the evolution of cinema from the technological breakthroughs of the early 20th century to its ideological and cultural influence in the Soviet and post-Soviet eras. Titles include the journals Iskusstvo kino (Искусство кино, Art of Cinema), Kino-fot (Кино-фот, Cinema photo), Kino-zhurnal A.R.K. (Кино-журнал А.Р.К., Cinema Journal A.R.K.), and Seans (Сеанс, Seance). Additional titles include the newspaper Kino (Kино, Cinema) and the magazine Sovetskii Ekran (Советский экран, Soviet Screen).
