Masha Froliak, a graduate of the Master’s Program in Cinema and Media Studies at the College of Staten Island, is a member of an investigative reporting team covering the Russian invasion of Ukraine. A freelance producer, she works closely with video journalist Yousur Al-Hlou for The New York Times. On the one-year anniversary of the invasion, both Froliak and Al-Hlou will discuss their multimedia journalistic work, which is deeply researched, complex, and often startling.
