Student/faculty tickets are available for the New York premiere of Jerry Brown: The Disrupter, by Emmy award winning filmmaker Marina Zenovich (Lance, Robin Williams: Come Inside My Mind, HBO’s The Way Down.)
Before Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren, there was Jerry Brown. Jerry was warning about climate change, the rise of the super-rich, and spiraling inequality back in 1975. He ran for president three times, creating the blueprint for today’s grassroots campaigns. He was twice elected Governor of California – at the age of 36 and 72 – a remarkable feat. The documentary is screening at IFC Center (323 6th Ave, New York, NY 10014) as part of the DOC NYC festival, and Marina will be present for a Q & A following the screenings.
